RELIGIOUSLY ACTIVE PEOPLE LIVE LONGER?
(Detroit News- 6/9/2000
An American Psychological Association journal reports that people who regularly attend religious worship services definitely live longer judging from an analysis of 42 scientific studies involving 125,826 persons.

[Editor] The report says that religiously active people generally take better care of their bodies, but as a religious Roman Catholic, I sure didn't. My physical condition was not in great shape because of indulging in a bit of alcohol every chance I got, and my spiritual condition was in a "hell of a shape" because the local physician (priest) was up to no good. The national physician, (Pope) whom I later came to know as the "Great Imposter", had the local physician prescribe "folklore remedies" to cure my ailments.

I got into AA and cured some of my physical ailments but my spiritual condition continued to deteriorate until the middle of 1991. At that time I sought out the "Great Physician" and He promptly gave me a "Blood Bath" in His Own Blood and cleaned me up big time. Hey-now I'm gonna live a "lot longer" that ANY of these spiritual folks, ain't I. Yep, sure am. PRAISE GOD and His Son Jesus the Christ. AMEN

BAPTISTS' DRIVING HOMO'S TO DESPERATE ACTS
(Excerpted and adapted from the June 12, 2000, Fort Worth Star Telegram.)

Southern Baptists drive young gays and lesbians to desperate acts because of their harsh stands against homosexuality said Mel White, a national gay rights leader. He plans to lead a civil disobedience demonstration at the Southern Baptist Convention.

Baptists have previously approved resolutions calling homosexuality "an abomination," but, for the first time, they plan to condemn it as immoral in the denomination's statement of faith, which is supposed to reflect general beliefs among Southern Baptists.

"The church has become the enemy of God's gay children," said White, a former ghostwriter for the Rev. Jerry Falwell and other evangelicals and who now leads Soulforce, a gay rights group based in Laguna Beach, Calif.

"You should read the letters I've gotten from young gays" who later committed suicide, he said.

[Editor] These unrepentant homo's are rushing toward the "second death". They may think that rejection of the church is tough, but wait until they face the rejection of the "Founder" of the CHURCH

The Rev. Jo Crisco, pastor of the predominantly gay Trinity Metropolitan Community Church in Arlington, said in an interview that she grew up in a Southern Baptist church and had terrible feelings of guilt because of her attraction to women.

"I was saved when I was 11 years old in a Baptist church," Crisco said. "Baptists teach the doctrine of once saved always saved, and I believe that theology, too. I feel like I'm still a Christian."

[CNV Editor] The doctrine of once "professing" to be saved, always "professing" to be saved is deadly. These folks may "feel" like they are saved. BUT

Prov 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

[Editor] but they must "read the instructions" before making any decisions.

2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Crisco said her church, and other gay congregations, spend their time giving a helping hand to people who have been rejected by other churches.

"Every time the Southern Baptists come up with another statement against gays and lesbians, I always get a lot of new members," Crisco said. "It's a painful way to see your church grow."

Condemnation of gays "can destroy families," she said. "It can destroy churches, it gives churches ammunition for withdrawing fellowship from members and ousting them."

[Editor] Condemnation of "sodomites" can "purify" churches. The Devil is telling his children, "come out of her, my people, lest you partake of her righteousness". (opposite of Rev 18:4) How 'bout that?

Southern Baptist Convention? I give credit where credit is due.

LIKE MOTHER--LIKE DAUGHTER.
(Roman Catholic mother-Episcopal daughter.)

Religion News Service reports on a North Carolina man excommunicated for Anti-Sodomite Comments Episcopal parish in Biltmore, N.C., has told him that unless he can speak nicely, he is not welcome at the church.

Lewis Green, who has been publishing "harmful" statements against gays and lesbians in his own independent newsletter, was banned from the Cathedral of All Souls and will be prohibited from receiving communion until he tones down the rhetoric, according to the Associated Press. The Very Rev. Todd Donatelli, dean of the cathedral, excommunicated Green.

Donatelli also warned that if Green comes on the church property and refuses to leave, he will be charged with trespassing and a restraining order will be issued.

Green, 68, said he will not back down. He cast the issue as a battle of freedom of speech. "It will be a cold day in hell before I apologize," Green said. "I don't look at this as a church; it's a liberal Democrat precinct."

Green has repeatedly criticized the church's growing acceptance of gays and lesbians and used his own newsletter, The Independent Torch, to criticize church leaders.

[Editor] Just like the Roman Catholic Church, excommunicating people for taking a righteous stand. I pray that this man take advantage of the excommunication and search out a "sound" church. Could be that he was "called out of her" (Rev 18:4) and refused, so God may have "threw him out". Possible?

Can Music Copy Protection Succeed?
By Tom Merritt

Please read the last paragraph of this article

EE Times reports that audio engineers and the National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM) are concerned about SDMI.

SDMI is a technology that hopes to prevent piracy of online music. What concerns the engineers is the watermark used to enable the protection. They say it degrades the quality of the music.

Merchandisers fear that SDMI's restrictions will discourage online music purchases.

It's the same problem VCR makers had when videotapes came out. Remember copy-protected videotapes? They died out when manufacturers realized they lost more money trying to peddle the rigged tapes than they ever did from piraters.

Don't get me wrong. Piracy is wrong. But the fact of the matter is the recording industry often does more harm than good when it overreacts to the horrible threat of piracy. SDMI is an example of this.

They have little to worry about. Sales are rising. MP3s have helped expose people to music they might not otherwise have heard. That means they may buy it too.

Someday the Recording Industry Association of America will take a lesson from the Catholic church. You don't ban the pagan religions, you assimilate them. Co-opt the pirates and you'll have much more success than battling them.

[Editor] Like my son Richard commented when he forwarded this message to me. " Funny how even computer page writers know what's going on in the Catholic Church but Catholics don't".

What can I say? Got any idea? Truth can be found in strange places.

BRITISH LEADING IN PERSECUTION OF GOD'S WORD
Britain's Christian Channel was slapped with a 20,000 pound fine 'in part for its denunciation of gays and lesbians' in an advertisement for a revival meeting by visiting U.S. evangelist Morris Cerullo. Among other things, the TV ad entitled 'Christian Warfare' condemned homosexuality as an 'abomination' and 'condemned Europe's increasingly permissive abortion and divorce laws.' Negative counts cited by the British Independent Television Commission included charges that the ad 'prejudice[d] respect for human dignity' and that it 'violated the code against denigrating religious beliefs.' (The Fundamentalist Digest, May/June 2000)

[Editor] How long can God's people freely preach the Word of God? Folks, the time is short and getting shorter by the day. TOLERANCE is the "word of the world" and this word is being enforced by it's giver.

You and I had better enjoy this "freely telling it like it is" 'cause this is not to last. OUR TIME IS COMING. Hold on to your hats. Grid your lions. Put on the whole armor of God. GET READY. Remember "one if by sea-two if by land"? Well-how 'bout "land, sea and air"? The anti-Christ is coming-the anti-Christ is coming.
*************************************************

THE BRITISH ARE COMING
'THOUGHT CRIMES'-Police in Gloucester, England are cracking down on racism by entering restaurants in disguise to listen for bigoted conversation. In the first week, one man was arrested for unacceptable table talk. Another was briefly detained for mimicking an Indian waiter but was let go. Orwell in his book 1984 foresaw a nation in which the most serious crimes would not be rape or robbery but "thought crimes" (5/22 USN&WR). Last year, an official British report proposed criminalizing racist remarks made in the family home.

[Editor] "The British laws are coming". "The British laws are coming". Where is the watchman? (Ezekiel chapters 3 and 33) He's in the haystack fast asleep. (most are, but not all.)

What can I say? "Jesus is coming, Jesus is coming" soon.
**************************************************

MIRACLES-THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION?
"DAWN Fridayfax" reports that Kevin Dyson of New Covenant International, a U.S.-based seminary that has worked in Fiji, a nation in the South Pacific, with Christian Mission Fellowship, a national church movement, has said that, " God is healing people of numerous physical and spiritual ailments when Christians pray for them."

A woman was in the hospital with stomach cancer when a worker told her and her family about Jesus Christ, he said. They prayed for her to be healed, and 21 people in the hospital, including the woman and her family, professed faith in Christ WHEN SHE RECOVERED.

[Editor] Jesus performed miracles to "confirm" His ministry. He gave certain men the power to do the same to "confirm" the beginning of the "New Testament".

John 5:36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

John 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

Why do the records of "many miracles" cease with the completion of the New Canon? Did the "world" all at once stop believing at the "same time"?

Why is the record of miracles on the rise today? Because we are in the "endtimes", and the "great imposter" will duplicate the works of Christ. The anti-christ is among us, even today.

Rev 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

BIBLE SAYS GOOD CATHOLICS GO TO HELL.
Among Roman Catholics in the New York archdiocese, 68% say a person "who engages in homosexual relations" could still be a good Catholic. The New York Times polled 1,615 people (Record, Winter 2000).

[Editor] I reckon that's par for the course. When I was a despicable drunk and going to Mass every Sunday, I fit right in with the priest and the ushers and other leaders. They were just like me.

The "pious" Catholics would tolerate me so long as I confessed my sins in the confessional (to the priest I fit right in with) and went to Holy Communion. Make sense?

SHOPLIFTING RELIGIOUS CANNOT STEAL HEAVEN
Shoplifting is a serious problem in Christian bookstores, reports Christian Retailing (2/3/00). Ironically, one item commonly stolen is Bibles. "You'd be surprised at some of the people caught. .

These people are in church every Sunday," remarked Joanna Hicks, owner with her husband of a bookstore in Raleigh, North Carolina. She also noted how someone switched Bible boxes to get a $150.00 Bible for $19.99. "CDs are far and away the most plentiful things that we've experienced trouble with," observed Tim Johnson, owner of a store in Wichita, Kansas (Baptist Bulletin, 4/00).

[Editor] I cannot understand something like that unless these are only "professing" Christians. Seems to me that news such as this only confirms my belief that the Protestant (and Baptist) churches are full of people going to hell in a breadbasket. Make sense?

These shoplifting "religious folks" are trying to "steal" their way into heaven, but the Chief Shepherd can see through their disguise. One day He will say "depart from me" (Matt 25:41; Luke 13:24-27) and cast then into the Lake of Fire, (Rev. 20:14-15) sheep's clothing and all.

PROMISE KEEPERS--A GREAT WITNESSING FOOL
Promise Keepers (PK) has added an unusual twist to its marketing strategy. In February PK mailed out a color brochure "Go the Distance with PK in 2000." New monthly givers, called "Real Life Monthly Partners," receive a "Real Life Training Kit" ("a $15 value"), which includes a Collectable Real Life Tin Box and Real Life Action Figures.

The action figures are rubberized GI Joe-like men in various athletic poses "to remind you of the truth behind the Scriptures that talk about 'finishing the race.' " PK encourages supporters to display the figures with the tin box as "a great witnessing tool" (BDM Letter, 4-6/00).

[Editor] Promise Keepers encourage people to buy this box to MAKE MONEY. They and MANY others are COMMERCIALIZING CHRISTIANITY.

When you look at a rubberized GI Joe, does it remind you of finishing the Christian race? When you look at a chicken, does this remind you to put all your eggs in Christ's basket? When you read junk such as this, doesn't it just MAKE YOU SICK? Don't make sense, does it?

Displaying the figures with the box make one "a great witnessing fool"

PROTESTANT CHURCHES GOING THE WAY OF CATHOLICISM
A growing number of U.S. Protestants are observing Ash Wednesday and Lent, Catholic observances that were repudiated by Protestants 500 years ago. Lutherans, Methodists, and others are receiving ashes on their forehead and fasting until Easter, according to a report by EWTN, a Catholic news network. The growing popularity of Lent has even "been seen among evangelically conservative Christians," according to Dennis Bratcher, a member of the Church of the Nazarene and director of the Christian Resource Institute (Sword of the Lord, 5/12/00).

[Editor] The UMC church here in Hico prints their "Easter Week" services in the Hico News Review each year. They observe "Ash Wednesday", "Holy Thursday" and "Good Friday" same as Roman Catholicism.

This makes the "Holy Roman Church" happy to see her wayward children coming back home after so many years. Wonder what "good times" they are gonna have together in the Lake of Fire?
************************************************

HELL BOUND PERCENTAGES GROWING.
A majority of Americans (56%) think it is acceptable for an engaged couple to live together prior to marriage. Only 40% believe it is unacceptable. More Catholics (63%) than Protestants (42%) think cohabitation is acceptable, while more Democrats (53%) than Republicans (43%) think so (AFA Journal, 5/00).

[Editor] God doesn't say that fornication is unacceptable. He says it is a SIN. Sin sends unrepentant sinners to HELL. Another thing. God doesn't care what we THINK. (Proverbs 14:12) We are to DO as He SAYS. (John 8:51) We are to keep His Commandments. (John 15:10) and we are to keep His Words. (John 14:23)
******************************************

THE DOWNWARD SLIDE OF SOCIETY
Several new polls demonstrate that American attitudes about homosexuality have changed significantly. According to a Newsweek poll, the vast majority of respondents (83%) said homosexuals deserve protection against discrimination at work. (In 1977 the figure was 56%.) The number of people who said that homosexuality was a sin decreased from 54% in 1998 to 46% this year. In a nationwide Harris poll, a majority (52%) viewed it as a learned behavior, down from 65% in 1995 (AFA Journal, 5/00).

[Editor] What can I say? Keep barking, I guess.(Isa 56:10) What can I do? Keep on keeping on, I guess.(Acts 20:24)

WORLD TURNING CHURCH UPSIDE DOWN
A Southern California pastor holds Sunday evening services in a dance club in Camarillo, California. Religion Today interviewed Norm Pussehl, associate pastor at Sonrise Christian Fellowship and founder of the new church-in-a-bar. Those who attend "can sip a cold one at a barstool or table while taking in the contemporary Christian music, live one-act dramas, videos about Christ, real-life testimonials, and a short message from a hip pastor," the report stated.
Pussehl said he makes sure that patrons feel safe, that "no one is going to beat them over the head with a Bible." Pussehl is a pastor with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, a Pentecostal denomination (Foundation, 5-6/00).

[Editor] Maybe so God will hit this man over the head with "something" and knock some sense into him. The religious want to live "like the world" and I wish they would leave "Christ out of it" 'cause "He sure ain't in it".
***************************************************

CONVERTS TO WHAT?
Several missions organizations, including Youth With a Mission (YWAM), are testing a new approach to missionary work in areas where Christianity is unwelcome. As reported in Charisma News Service, some missionaries are making converts but allowing them to "hold on to many of their traditional religious beliefs and practices" to keep from offending others in their culture. Messianic Muslims, who continue to read the Koran, visit the mosque, and say daily prayers but accept Christ as their Savior, are the products of the strategy (Foundation, 5-6/00).

[Editor] Seems that most ALL Christianity leads to Rome. Isn't that how the RC church started out? What have we with Messianic Muslims, Messianic Catholics and so on? Makes me wary of the name Messianic Jews.

Let me get ONE THING straight with everybody. Okay? If a person accepts Christ as their Saviour they WILL DO AS HE SAYS--at least to a great degree.

Ask for the article, "Can A Catholic Be Saved? This can also apply to "Can a Jew, Muslim, ect", be saved.

Folks--I am saved out of the RC church. I no longer attend Mass, or receive the Catholic wafer. I no longer practice Catholic ANYTHING. I have offended MANY in that culture. I have offended MY FAMILY. (Uncles, aunts, cousins friends, ect) My wife and children came out from among them with me--one at a time. THANK GOD.

THE FIRST SOUTHERN BAPTIST OPRAH WINFREY REVIVAL
First Baptist Church here in Hico, Texas, an SBC church is holding a Revival Sunday April 30 to May 3, 2000. All services are to be held in the new recreation center just completed.

Topic: The Last Five Sermons on Earth.

Kicking off the Revival will be Evangelist: Joe Arms of Houston, TX and Music Evangelist Paul Stags, also of Houston, TX.

I would like to make a comment at this time. The Webster's Dictionary defines "evangelist" as "a preacher of the gospel- a traveling preacher". There is NO SUCH WORD as MUSIC EVANGELIST, folks. This is just a flowery Southern Baptist word for "song leader" You've heard of flowery descriptions before. I know you have. Sodomite-Gay, ect

NOW- back to the "revival" schedule

Friday Evening April 28 there will be a meal and a speaker. The speaker will be Joe Arms and the Topic will be "It's All About Marriage. The Topic information will be "Resolving Family Conflicts", and "How to make your home like heaven"

Saturday Evening April 29 at 4 p.m. The Topic will be "It's All About Your Health". The speaker will be Dr. Wade Uptergrove (E.R. Doctor for Providence Hospital, Waco, Texas) Various onsite testing

Saturday Evening at 7 p.m. the Topic will be, "It's All About Money", and the speaker will be Mr. Craig Kilpatrick (Chief Financial Officer for First Western Securities, Ft. Worth, Texas) Topic info will be, "Planning f or retirement", "How to invest money" and "How to prepare for children's college.

That is the Oprah Winfrey Revival "kick off schedule" for First Baptist Church of Hico, Texas

These are a few of the topics taken from the official Oprah Winfrey Web Site.

Living Smart
Health and Fitness
Dr. Phil's Advice About Affairs
Words To Build A Marriage On.

Folks, this First Southern Baptist Revival is "identical" to the Talk Show Host T.V. programs.

I guess there is a "spiritual side" to this revival, i.e. "The Last Five Sermons on Earth", but the Oprah show has this too.

Consider:
A Random Act of Kindness
Unconditional Love
Blessings at Brunch
Reconnecting with Spirit
Discovering True Gratitude.

First Baptist Church of Hico, Texas, where Deacons are members of the local Masonic Lodge and the Promise Keepers Movement, and the kids are into the WWJD fad, and the Pokemon craze, is an Oprah Winfrey style Local Talk Show and TALK is CHEAP.

This church, and churches like it all over the land are tickling the ears of the members and they LOVE IT. (2 Tim 4:3) I pray that these people WASH their ears so that they can hear the Truth, (2 Tim 4:4) but they will NEVER hear the TRUTH until their hearts are cleansed. How can the Holy Spirit of God cleanse them if they will not walk with Him. They "want to walk after the flesh" and "so they do". ( Rom 8:1; 8:4)They want to hear words pleasing to the flesh and these "so-called" ministers of God give them "exactly" what they want to hear.

CONTENDING for the FAITH-- ONCE delivered to the POSSESSORS, and EXPOSING the LIE--, NOW delivered to the PROFESSORS. *******************************************

SOMETHING FOR CHRISTIANS TO CRY ABOUT
Billy Graham's first movie to reach out specifically to black audiences has been a hit. "Something to Sing About", was filmed in an urban setting and features hip hop gospel star Kirk Franklin. During an intermission, Graham's son Franklin offers a brief Christian message

Thousands of people called a telephone number that flashed on the screen, and 40 percent made a first-time decision to become a Christian.

[Editor] All these people becoming Christians, all over the world. Something don't add up here. How was Jesus on His math? Was He in need of schooling?

He said MANY are called, but FEW are chosen. He talks about a REMNANT. Forty percent is a few? This is a remnant? Read the numbers of "decisions to become a Christian" reported from the various "crusades" held by "anybody" from "anywhere" in the world.

Folks--ONE MORE TIME. People don't "make decisions" to become a Christian. The Holy Spirit of God decides this, subject to the TWO IMPORTANT occurrences.

ONE- Repentance toward God, and TWO-Faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 20:20-21 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Folks-these are not ministers of God. They "hold back" what will be profitable to the listener. The "big guy" hold this back "publicly" and the "little gut" hold it back from "house to house".

FOLKS--this is serious stuff here. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF SALVATION.

Ever wonder why Jesus said, "They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service". (John 16:2)

The LOST will think that they are SAVED and that the SAVED are LOST.

Tolerance is being preached, in the religious and secular realm and this word is being incorporated into the laws of almost every country on this planet. It will be THIS word, INTOLERANCE, which will be the death of us Christians. I know. Do you?
******************************************

THE LORD'S SUPPER SERVICE
[An editorial]

Most all churches hold a short Lord's Supper Service as an "aftermath" or conclusion of the "more popular" services. This will be at the end of the sermon as delivered by one person from the pulpit.. There are many, as many as attended the pulpit sermon, that partake of the "cracker" and "grape juice", because to leave beforehand would not be "religiously correct", and would "look bad" on the ones leaving.

LOOK--the churches exclaim, how many partook of the Lord's Supper last Sunday. MY--what a pious bunch we have here.

BUT-- let the Lord's Supper Service "begin" the services and you will see just how dedicated the people are to the "remembrance" of our Lord, as He commanded. THIS service will, in many cases, separate the "possessors " from the "professors". If held "first" and "foremost" this service will separate the "talkers" from the "doers"

ANALOGY OF THE AVERAGE SUNDAY SCHOOL
A Sunday School teacher challenged her children to take some time on Sunday afternoon to write a letter to God. They were to bring their letter back the following Sunday. One little boy wrote, "Dear God, We had a good time at church today. Wish you could have been there."

SHOW & TELL
[Submitted by my daughter in-law, Betty Neckar, as received by " Via Alt.Humor"]

While working on a lesson in world religions, a kindergarten teacher asked her students to bring something related to their family's faith to class.

At the appropriate time she asked the students to come forward and share with the rest of the students.

The first child said, "I am Muslim and this is my prayer rug."

The second child said, "I am Jewish and this is my Star of David."

The third child said, "I am Catholic and this is my rosary."

The final child said, "I am Southern Baptist and this is my casserole dish."

COMMENTS

Hello Folks

I have a few comments about this headline taken from Religion Today. 7/6/00
"Churches grapple with gay issues"

"Denominations need all the wisdom and diplomatic skills they can muster this summer."

[Editor] What diplomatic skills does it take to SEPARATE. Yes, that's right. SEPARATE from a denomination that feels the need to VOTE on matters already determined by Almighty God. I say GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE before you go there yourself. 'Nough said.

PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF MORALITY
A Seventh-day Adventist minister, and seven church members are taking a 1,000 mile bike ride this July. . The bike ride theme is, "Morality Matters and Morality is Cool," and is designed to stir religious awakening in young people.

Religious institutions are "too far out of touch," Mavrakos (the SDA minister) told the Post. "It's time to move - out of the pulpit and onto the pavement." The cyclists will hand out copies of the Ten Commandments and collect prayer requests to be offered during a prayer rally on the Mall in Washington, D.C., later this summer.

[Editor] I agree it is time to leave the pulpit and go out into the hedges and highways to PREACH THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, but this? Handing out copies of the "schoolmaster" which is to lead us to Christ is NOT preaching the GOSPEL OF CHRIST.

There is no salvation in the "schoolmaster" or in "morality". Hell is gonna be full of "schoolmaster pupils" and "good & moral" people. Many will even know Jesus Christ.

Matt 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Luke 13:26-27 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Man wants to try ANYTHING to advance the moral climate of America. America is on a spiritual "kick". For these people, the gospel of Christ isn't working well enough, and for the reason that it is a "watered down gospel" served upon a silver platter. THIS gospel is not the power of God unto salvation. (Rom. 1:16

Prov 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Prov 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

A GREAT CHRISTIAN ACHIEVEMENT. "OBEYING THE COURTS"

A state-sponsored display featuring the Ten Commandments went up in Orange County (Indiana) this week. About 300 people gathered to celebrate the unveiling of a monument at the county courthouse that features the Biblical laws alongside the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, The Associated Press reported

Courts have ruled against allowing the commandments on state-owned property, but have allowed them when they are displayed alongside other historical documents.

[Editor] This is being hailed as a great Christian victory, but it is really? These Christians are just like the ones here in Hico. They are gonna do ONLY as the COURTS say they can do.

This my June 21st letter to the editor of the Hico News Review.

Dear Editor

Well, the Christian folks in this community that was relying on, and putting their hopes in the Supreme Court of this country concerning student led prayer at extra circular activities have had their hopes dashed again. Wanna know why? "Cause they forget just Whom they are to place their hope in.

In fact, they forget a lot about what is written, yea, commanded in the Holy Bible. Wonder why? Could it be that the Bible is used mainly as a "status symbol" to be "seen" rather that "studied"? NO? Well, something's wrong here. YOU tell ME.

There is NO ONE and NO COURT gonna shut me up. NO WAY. No-no-no-never. I'm gonna earnestly contend for the faith ONCE delivered to the saints, in the church, in the home, and in the PUBLIC ARENA

In 1991 in Cresson Texas, I got married to Jesus the Christ. I am His bride

I am in subjection to my spouse. I promised to "take" Christ for "better or for worse", until death do we meet. I am not gonna "publicly" divorce Him because some "unconstitutional court" orders this course of action.

Hico, I state ONE MORE TIME. "I ought to obey God rather than man". (Acts 5:27-29)

SBC-DIFFERENT, YESTERDAY, TODAY and TOMORROW
Southern Baptist rules restricting the role of women in churches don't have any negative ramifications at all for women in the work place," Southern Baptist President James Merritt said. "I'd have no problem with the president of the United States being a woman," he told the Dallas Morning News. The denomination amended its statement of faith last month to say that Scripture prevents women from being pastors

[Editor] If you be a REAL Bible Believer, aren't you glad God is not like the SBC? They are forever amending their statements. Aren't you glad that God is the same yesterday, today and FOREVER. (Heb 13:8)

You feel like "voting" on whether you will obey God today or tomorrow?

" Many Southern Baptists believe women can supervise men in the work place, the Morning News reported. "The Bible says women should be submissive only to their husbands, not to other men," Gary Sheets, a retired Air Force colonel and Southern Baptist layman said. The church has stayed largely silent on the issue of women in the work place because the Bible does not address it, Merritt said.

[Editor] Think on this.
Rom 15:4 For whatsoever things ( Old Testament) were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

THIS is one of the "things" that was written aforetime.
Prov 31:3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.

You know who said that? A woman.
